Primary Content
Dragon Con, Atlanta’s massive pop culture convention, returns this Labor Day weekend with autograph signings, gaming events, shows and more.
Numerous celebrity guests will be in attendance at the 2024 event, which runs from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2. Those guests include Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy), John Cleese (“Monty Python”), Vincent D’Onofrio (“Daredevil”), Nathan Fillion (“Firefly”), Manny Jacinto (“The Good Place,” “Star Wars: The Acolyte”) and Jodie Whitaker, Catherine Tate and Freema Agyeman (“Doctor Who”).
For decades, Dragon Con has combined multiple fandoms of fantasy, science fiction, comic books and more into one huge single convention. Multiple events will take place throughout the weekend, including the flagship parade, which will set off on Peachtree Street at 10 a.m. on Aug. 31. If you’re looking for the best place to catch the entire spectacle, you can find a parade map online.
In addition to autograph signings and the parade, other events include Dragon Con Burlesque: A Glamour Geek Revue from burlesque artist May Hemmer, Dragon Con Night at the Aquarium, multiple live music and DJ performances, and video and film rooms so you can catch some of your favorite movies and shows. You can find a list of all the different events and how to attend on the event’s website
Tickets can be purchased online.
