LISTEN: Trump held a rally at Georgia Tech in Atlanta Monday night in an appeal to young voters. GPB's Sarah Kallis reports.
Former President Donald Trump returned to Georgia on Monday evening to pitch his candidacy to voters again ahead of the election.
This time, Trump emphasized Georgia’s important role in the election during his rally at Georgia Tech.
“This is a very important state," he said. "If we win this state, we win the whole ball of wax."
Trump focused his speech on tax policy, including a new plan to create a tax credit for caretakers. He also hit on immigration and attacked his political rivals.
The rally drew a crowd of Georgia Tech students, including Sutha Kamara, who believes Trump is resonating with young voters.
“It’s important as young voters to, like, come out and be representative of the community,” he said.
Another student, Sam Alman, said that he feels like Trump's social media strategy is helping him reach out to young voters.
"He's all over my feed, all over my ads," Alman said. "He is definitely getting his message out there."
Georgia early voting numbers surpassed 3 million on the day of Trump’s visit. Trump praised the high voting numbers, and encouraged attendees who hadn't voted to make to the polls.
Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz will also visit Georgia this week, and Vice President Kamala Harris will return on Saturday
