State lawmakers have been tasked with considering how Georgia should move forward on planning for natural disasters. 

Georgia Democrats are looking to re-calibrate after Tuesday's election. Not only did their presidential pick lose, they didn't narrow G-O-P majorities in the state legislature as much as they hoped.

The effort to establish Georgia’s first national park at Macon’s Ocmulgee Mounds site is one of a number of issues members of middle Georgia’s congressional delegation say they hope to finish by the end of the year.
