Former President Jimmy Carter will be honored today with a funeral in the nation’s capital and a service in Plains, Ga.

Bernice King, daughter of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is remembering the late former President Jimmy Carter as a man committed to her father's work fighting racism, poverty and war.

Snow, sleet and ice are in the forecast for all of northern and part of central Georgia on Friday.
