UPDATES: Dangerously cold temps move into Georgia, snow possible this week

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, this week's weather forecast includes dangerously cold air moving into Georgia Sunday night Jan. 19 into Monday, Jan. 20 and lingering through Thursday, Jan. 23.
An excessive cold watch has been issued for north Georgia Monday morning.
A winter storm may impact north and central Georgia on Tuesday and early Wednesday.
Savannah and Coastal Georgia will likely see low temps at or below freezing and into the mid-20s through Wednesday.
Extreme Cold Warnings are likely to be issued along I-20 west of Atlanta, I-85 east of Atlanta, and all points north.
Wind chills from below zero to the teens are forecast to develop in north and central Georgia Monday through Thursday.
Precipitation accumulations vary significantly depending on the northward extend of mid-level moisture and the strength of the low. Uncertainty is high on the exact how much accumulation will occur. Impacts are likely.
Please plan accordingly if you will be outdoors. Prolonged exposure to below-freezing temperatures can cause frostbite. Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.
Check on vulnerable people to make sure they have adequately warm shelter indoors.
Bring pets inside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
