Georgia U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff held a rally in Atlanta on Saturday that he dubbed the 'Rally for Our Republic'
Ossoff’s speech focused on growing frustrations with the Trump administration, including Department of Government Efficiency cuts, Elon Musk’s role in government, and what Ossoff called corruption.
"This is not a drill, Atlanta; this is not a bad dream," he said. "As citizens, this is the test of our lifetime. So tell me, Atlanta, are you ready to fight?"
The unofficial reelection campaign kickoff drew a capacity crowd of 2,000 to The Eastern, a venue in Atlanta. Stephanie Rogers drove from Canton for the event.
“I felt like it was really important to do something positive and to fight back for our democracy," she said. She plans to get involved in Ossoff's campaign.
So far, no Republican challengers have officially announced a run against Ossoff in 2026, but the race is likely to be competitive.
While Ossoff did not specifically ask the audience for their vote or promote his campaign, other speakers, including fellow Georgian U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, asked the crowd to reelect Ossoff.

"We're in a fight for our lives," Warnock said. "We're in a fight for health care. We're in a fight for our democracy. We're in a fight for workers. We're in a fight for seniors. We are in a fight for the identity of our country."
Supporters left the event with yard signs promoting Ossoff.
