In hopes of jumpstarting a business decimated by the pandemic, airlines and airports are offering preflight, on-the-spot testing for the coronavirus, with some test results back in 15 minutes.
The study compared the habits and activities of 314 adults who had been tested for the virus. Those who tested positive more often reported dining at a restaurant within 14 days of showing symptoms.
The agency now says contacts of people with COVID-19 don't necessarily need to get tested. Public health experts say less testing of potential carriers could lead to more spread of the disease.
