A Georgia sheriff has agreed to review his department's policies on bias-free policing to settle a race discrimination complaint filed by a historically Black college after one of its sports teams was pulled over and searched for drugs.
Delaware State University filed a complaint Wednesday to the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division calling for an external investigation of the traffic stop.
Tony Allen, Delaware State University's president, says once the complaint is officially filed, it will be made available to the campus community to read.
