The nonprofit government watchdog group that sued to overturn votes taken at a Georgia State Election Board meeting earlier this month, held despite warnings from the Georgia Attorney General, says it will continue to monitor the board’s actions after the panel rescinded its earlier vote during a virtual meeting Tuesday afternoon.
A group of 24 Republican state attorneys general, led by Louisiana’s Jeff Landry and including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio and Tennessee, challenged the mandate last month.
Georgia and 10 other states joined the Justice Department Tuesday in filing a lawsuit aimed at preventing Google from unlawfully maintaining monopolies through anticompetitive and exclusionary practices.
The suit accuses the tech giant of entering into a series of exclusionary agreements to lock up the primary avenues through which users access internet search engines.
