The Department of Health and Human Services wants to know if the FDA followed its rules and procedures in investigating the contamination of baby formula and recalling it.

Abbott, one of the largest formula-makers in the U.S., has reached an agreement with the government to bring a closed factory back on line. And the FDA is easing some restrictions on imported formula.

Georgia WIC participants may return or exchange recalled formula to the place of purchase or contact their WIC clinic to exchange for replacement vouchers, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

UNICEF and the World Health Organization issued the paper. It shows "that formula milk marketing remains unacceptably pervasive, misleading and aggressive," says Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of WHO.
