Raskin has given himself until July 4th to announce his plans. He's weighing a run for the U.S. Senate after going into remission following intensive cancer treatment.

The Maryland Democrat said he'd received a preliminary diagnosis of being in remission after undergoing treatments for lymphoma. "I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love," the lawmaker said.

The Maryland Democrat, who is in treatment for cancer, credited the musician for inspiring him to wear bandanas while he undergoes chemotherapy.

"If Donald Trump had succeeded, he'd be bragging about it," says Raskin, a member of the Jan. 6 panel. He argues the former president must be held accountable based on the facts and what the laws say.
