Earlier this year, the former Big Bang Theory actor had stopped appearing on the popular game show show after declaring her support for the Hollywood writers' strike.
Bialik is a neuroscientist and former star of The Big Bang Theory. Jennings is a former Jeopardy! contestant who went on an unmatched 74-game winning streak and was a consulting producer on the show.
Kennesaw State University alumnus Raymond Goslow on Tuesday night finished the ‘Jeopardy! National College Championship’ finals in a close second place after dominating the second game.
The announcement is the latest development in Jeopardy!'s troubled search for a new host following the November death of longtime presenter Alex Trebek.
Mike Richards had recently been named the new host of "Jeopardy!" His tenure was very short-lived after past sexist and inappropriate comments came to light.
Richards has been scrutinized over earlier allegations of a hostile work environment, as well as inappropriate comments he made about women on a podcast he once hosted.
"There will only ever be one Alex Trebek, but I'm honored to be helping Jeopardy! out with this in January," said Jennings, one of the show's all-time top winners.
"I love spending time with bright people," said the longtime game show host. Trebek began hosting the trivia show in 1984 and continued for nearly four decades, even through bouts of chemotherapy.
