As Republicans barnstorm the state, a high-profile visit by Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., was designed to bolster enthusiasm for an Iowa Democratic Party that hasn't had the easiest few years.

Backlash ensued after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer moved to relax its informal dress code last week. On Wednesday, lawmakers voted unanimously to codify business casual on the Senate floor.

Tests ruled out a stroke and found no evidence of a seizure. Fetterman went to the hospital after feeling lightheaded at a Senate Democratic retreat.

The seat, which flips from Republican to Democrat, was vacated by retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey.
