At least 41 deputies have been uncovered as being involved in gangs, according to the LA County inspector general. The civilian overnight board says it's a problem that has existed for decades.
Deonte Lee Murray, 36, was already in custody after a car-jacking earlier in September. Detectives say they tied Murray to the shooting using surveillance footage and forensic evidence.
Police say reporter Josie Huang didn't identify herself as a reporter, and was interfering with a lawful arrest. KPCC says Huang was just documenting the arrest on video when police tackled her.
