Fox News stars, including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, privately derided then-President Donald Trump's assertion he'd been cheated of victory in 2020, even as the network amplified such claims.

Fox News says its coverage of bogus election-fraud claims was "accurate and disinterested" and is protected by the First Amendment.

The suit names Fox stars Lou Dobbs and Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro, as well as Trump allies Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.

Many Fox News hosts, commentators and guests helped stoke the pro-Trump protests that became an assault on Congress. Among those influenced was Ashli Babbitt, who died while storming the Capitol.
