Former Northwestern University football coach Pat Fitzgerald is suing the school, saying it wrongfully fired him in the wake of a hazing and abuse scandal that has engulfed the athletic department.
With allegations of hazing within several sports programs at Northwestern University, experts say that other U.S. universities should use this time to change their own cultures.
The former volleyball player is the first female athlete from the university to sue over recent hazing. It's the latest lawsuit over alleged hazing in the school's athletic programs.
In an announcement posted to Northwestern University's athletics page, head baseball coach Jim Foster was "relieved of his duties effective immediately."
