The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2022 class leans heavily on pop hitmakers from the 1980s, but also includes rapper Eminem and country star Dolly Parton, who initially rejected her nomination.
Parton didn't just co-write the novel, she also recorded a whole album to go with it. Run, Rose, Run is about an aspiring country singer trying to shake a dark past and make it big in music.

The hip hop legend was inducted by the former president and comedian Dave Chappelle. The induction makes Jay-Z one of the few solo rappers to ever be included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
