Atlanta Public Schools (APS) sent alerts to parents and staff on Wednesday night about threats made against schools in the district.
On Thursday, Gov. Brian Kemp signed several bills he said will make Georgia schools safer.
The numbers are far less than in the U.S. but school attacks are definitely on the increase, prompting soul-searching — and a national debate over strategies to prevent future tragedies.
