The city of Chicago has sued Smyrna, Georgia-based Glock Inc., alleging the handgun manufacturer is facilitating the proliferation of illegal machine guns that can fire as many as 1,200 rounds per minute on the streets of the city.
New York's attorney general is suing a Georgia gun accessory manufacturer for selling a magazine lock that can be easily removed to attach high-capacity magazines. The magazine lock supplied by Woodstock-based Mean Arms allowed a white gunman to insert multiple 30-round magazines to the AR-15 he used in the racist 2022 Buffalo massacre.
The bill raising the age limit is part of legislation that will restrict civilian purchases of bullet-resistant armor, and require new guns to be equipped with microstamping technology.
