Technically, the fastest Olympian just took bronze in speed climbing

After setting a couple world speed climbing records this week, American Sam Watson fell to China’s Peng Wu, who was then beaten by Indonesia’s Leonardo Veddriq. Veddriq took gold in 4.75 seconds.

Hampton Morris is 1st US men's weightlifter to medal at the Olympics since '84

Hampton Morris is the first U.S. man to win an Olympic weightlifting medal in four decades. The 20-year-old from Marietta, Georgia, took home bronze in the men's 61-kilogram division.

Jolene Jolene will bring Atlanta its first women’s sports bar

Chelsea Fishman wants women’s sports to be taken more seriously. Fishman took what she learned at an equality summit in Australia during the FIFA Women’s World Cup last year to heart and will open Atlanta’s first women’s sports bar called Jolene Jolene next year.
