A man accused of attacking police with a machete near New York's Times Square on New Year's Eve is now facing federal terrorism charges, authorities announced Tuesday.
Times Square is one of scores of "sensitive" places — including parks, churches and theaters — that will be off-limits for guns under a sweeping new state law going into effect Thursday.
The party's on, thanks to COVID-19 vaccines. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that Times Square will be open this New Year's Eve to those who are fully vaccinated.
