United Airlines has told employees who have applied for religious or medical exemptions to the company's vaccine mandate that if approved, they will be put on leave next month.

Plenty of evidence exists supporting vaccination mandates in schools, workplaces and health care settings, doctors with Emory University School of Medicine said this week after full approval came from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine.  

Nursing homes will be required to ensure their staffers are vaccinated against COVID-19, or risk losing federal Medicare and Medicaid dollars, the Biden administration announced Wednesday in a major move on vaccinations as the delta variant sweeps many states.

City council members introduced a sort of "no shots, no service" mandate, following in the footsteps of New York City. In Los Angeles, would-be customers would have to show proof of at least one dose.

The vast majority of these laws apply only to state and local governments, meaning private schools and employers could still require people to get vaccinated.
