Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of October 2

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Football Fridays in Georgia Halftime Show Fridays at 7:30 pm on GPB.
Here are our nominees for the week of October 2, 2023.
Trevon French, East Paulding, LB, SR
Trevon French is a 6'3 200 LBS Senior Outside and Inside Linebacker at East Paulding. In six games, the versatile linebacker has accumulated 50 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss and one pass break up. French currently has two offers from Edward Waters and Culver-Stockton College. He also runs track.

Kyler McGrinn, Bowdon, QB, SR
Kyler McGrinn is a 6'0 195 LBS Senior Quarterback and Athlete at Bowdon. Moving from Alabama, he leads Class A Division 2 with 812 rushing yards, with 10 TD's and has passed for 832 yards with 10 TD's. He benchs 315 and has a power clean max of 4.0. McGrinn plans to graduate in December, and his coaches say he is ready to enroll and play at the next level.His coach describes him as a hard working player that leads by example.

Cur’Tavian Clark, Spalding, QB, SR
Cur'Tavian Clark is a 6'2 210 LBS Senior Quarterback at Spalding. His coach says he is a very athletic QB with a strong arm and twitchy release, that is comfortable in the pocket and has the ability to escape when it breaks down. This season he has 900 yards and 11 TD's passing, and 600 yards with five TD's rushing. In 2022, he notched 1,723 yards passing with 14 TD's and 880 yards rushing with 11 TD's. Not only is he accomplished on the football field, but he is also an All-State Basketball player and runs track, while maintaining a 3.2 GPA. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family and friends, workout, play video games and buy shoes to add to his collection. His coach says he has some colleges that want to offer him, but at different positions.

Jayden Clayton, North Paulding, ATH, SR
Jayden Clayton is a 6'0 190 LBS Senior Athlete at North Paulding. Started his love for the game at age five, Clayton says he won the Kiwanis Bowl Championship in every age group from 5 to 10 years old while he was in Villa Rica, GA. Transitioning to Dallas, GA and joining the Wolfpack of North Paulding in middle school, Clayton led his team to the Championship against McEachern. As a Freshman, he was awarded Freshman Player of the Year and MVP twice during his Sophomore and Junior years. He currently averages nine yards per carry, and has 240 yards in four games with four TD's this season. The dual athlete is on the varsity track team where he runs the 100, 200, 4x100 and 4x200. He currently holds a 3.0 GPA and in his free time, he assists with coaching the 5th-6th grade Wolfpack football team.

Hampton McIlwain, Wayne County, K/P, SR
Hampton McIlwain is a 5'10 155 LBS Senior Kicker and Punter for Wayne County. In his last two games, McIlwain had two punts at 54 and 47 yards with a 3.94 hang and down at 3. For the season, he has 24 total punts with at least 40 yards, 10 landing inside the 20, his longest being 65 yards and five returns for 21 yards. McIlwain was named Player of the Week 3X, awarded region honors and a two-year letterman. Off the field, he has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the student council, student advisory board, student chamber and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Montez Redding, Jonesboro, WR, SR
Montez Redding is a 6'2 180 LBS Senior Wide Receiver at Jonesboro High School. Described as having "crazy athleticism," this past Friday he broke the single game reception record with 10 receptions for 201 yards and three TD's. His position coach says he is a passionate leader that takes pride in the small details to help his teammates grow and get better. The multi-sport athlete is also known as a dynamic basketball player.

Quatorius Walker, Mays, SS/OLB, JR
Quatorius Walker is a Junior Small Safety and Outside Linebacker at Mays. His stats so far include three interceptions, two forced fumbles, one blocked punt, four defensive touchdowns, 77 tackles, and 13 sacks. Last year, he was First Team All- Region and runner up for Defensive Player of the Year. The multisport athlete also plays basketball and ran track last year.
Walker currently has a 4.0 GPA and is in all honors classes with hopes of becoming the valedictorian once he graduates.

Arlando George, Hapeville, LB/DE, SR
Arlando Georgia is a 6'2 210 LBS Senior Linebacker and Defensive End at Hapeville. Since 2022, the defensive player has recorded 34 total tackles. During his first year of varsity football, he made All-Region recognition and scored a pick 6 as a D-lineman.
Outside of sports, he participates in the Debate Club, Math Club and has a 3.0 GPA.
