Starting on March 14th, The ASO on GPB brings you fresh performances from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s 2023–24 season—Nathalie Stutzmann’s second as music director.

Highlights include beloved Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Bruckner and Stravinsky; soprano Renée Fleming, violinist Joshua Bell, pianist Sunwook Kim and the orchestra’s own soloists; the ASO Chorus in Carmina Burana and Verdi’s Requiem; guest conductors, unusual concertos, world premieres, and a special concert curated by composer Carlos Simon.

Stutzmann recently spoke of the spontaneity that happens on stage: “Some days you feel more sad, more happy, more energetic. We are all humans and every day is different. So every interpretation will be a little bit different, even if you have a very clear vision. We have to always be in the moment.”

See more of her conversation with host Sarah Zaslaw below, and enjoy the orchestra in concert each week on The ASO on GPB
