SEC Rules Recruiting Once again the SEC has shown they are the conference to beat when in it comes to National Signing Day and recruiting. There are several ranking services, but most agree that the Crimson Tide of Alabama once again has the number one recruiting class in the country. Nick Saban strikes again. Butch Davis did an outstanding job at Tennessee and hauled in the fourth ranked class. Auburn was ranked number 7, and the Georgia Bulldogs #8. Mark Harmon and Jon Nelson have more on SEC Recruiting.
While SEC and ACC schools feasted on recruiting athletes from the state of Georgia many recruits will stay in state and play in front of home state fans. The Kennesaw State Owls are getting ready for their first season of football with a second solid recruiting class. Coach Trent Miles at Georgia State stayed with many in-state standouts to restock his team, and Georgia Southern will again be a force to be reckoned with. Mark Harmon and Jon Nelson take a look at the 2015 National Signing Day around the state.
What a State for Football Talent. The state of Georgia should be very proud of the talented football players the state’s high schools produce each year. Every season around 200 football players will sign a letter of intent to have the opportunity to earn a college degree and play football at the collegiate level. Close to 100 of those players will come from Dekalb County alone. Many of the nation’s top college programs try to raid the state of its talented players and this year schools like Alabama, Auburn, USC, UCLA, Kansas State and Oregon signed a lot of players from the Peach State. Mark Harmon and Jon Nelson break it all down In this look at National Signing Day, 2015.
Congratulations to all who signed, regardless of sport, and good luck to you in your next steps!!!
