Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of September 16

GPB Sports continues their search for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Football Fridays in Georgia Halftime Show Fridays at 7:30 pm on GPB.
Here are our nominees for the week of September 16, 2024.
Kobe Robinson, Norcross, RB/CB, SR
The 5'10 175 LBS senior running back and corner back for the Norcross Blue Devils has notched 328 rushing yards and four TD's, in just three games. Robinson is back and healthy this year after an injury that ended his junior season early. He finished his 2023 season averaging 8.2 yards a carry and had two TD's. Blue Devils fans are no stranger to the Robinson last name, Kobe's older brother Cameron graduated from the program last year and now plays for Navy. He credits his success to his coaches and teammates because they're always pushing each other to the next level and beyond.
Robinson runs a 4.4 40-yard dash, and you can see where that speed really shines on the field as he cuts through players in highlights. He currently has a 3.0 GPA and wishes to play at the next level.

Larry Hudson, Dutchtown, WR, SR
Hudson is a 5'11 165 LBS senior wide receiver for the Dutchtown Bulldogs. In his recent game against Lovejoy, he went 8/8 for catches, 166 yards and two touchdowns. Hudson has a 3.0 GPA.

Israel Conway, Cherokee, WR, SR
Conway is a 6'3 205 LBS senior wide receiver for the Cherokee Warriors. A long-time lover of the game, Conway has played football since the 1st grade. According to Max Preps, he finished his junior season with 93 yards and averaged 11.6 yards per catch. Outside of football, he is a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Team and holds a 3.17 GPA.

LeShaun "Huggy" Hudgins, Tucker, CB, SR
Hudgins is a 6'0 165 LBS senior cornerback for the Tucker Tigers. A varsity starter since freshman year, he offers skills on special teams and as a defensive back. He boasts a 4.5 (40), benches 230 and squats 330. In his senior season so far, he has eight tackles, one touchdown, two fumble recoveries, two pass deflections and one interception. Hudgins is known as a "coachable focused leader," whose skills display that he understands his assignment. He currently has a 3.0 GPA and has recruiting interest from Georgia Southern, Norfolk State, Albany State, Alabama A&M and Morehouse!

Xavier "Deuce" Butler, South Gwinnett, QB
The 5'9 175 LBS junior quarterback for the Comets put on a show with his 4.4 (40) speed in South Gwinnett's 27-14 loss vs. Top 10 Valdosta on GPB Sports Football Fridays in Georgia. Butler, who transitioned back to QB this season after playing RB as a sophomore and QB as a freshman, had 112 yards rushing on 13 carries with a 26-yard TD run while also passing for 145 yards completing 8 of 21 attempts. He has led South Gwinnett to a 3-1 season start while averaging 211 total offense per game with 87 rushing YPG and 124 passing YPG. Not bad for young man who has no offers, but his Coach Bryan Lamar calls him "the real deal."

Marcus Williams, Valdosta, NG, SR
A 6'2 285 LBS senior nose guard, Williams is the Wildcats' leading tackler and had another monster night despite playing with a broken hand in the 'Cats 27-14 win over previously unbeaten South Gwinnett on GPB Sports Football Fridays in Georgia. Williams finished the night with 13 tackles, six solo with two TFL and two QB pressures as Valdosta improved to 5-0. Even though he has no offers, he has a rare team-leading 42 tackles from his interior defensive line position with 13.5 TFL, and four QB pressures.

Jayden Howard, Jonesboro, WR, SR
Howard is a 5'10 170 LBS senior wide receiver for the Jonesboro Cardinals. Before joining the Cardinals this year, he finished his junior season with Stockbridge Tigers with 37 receptions for 589 yards and eight TD's. He has a 3.09 GPA.

Jamarion "Deuce" McKinney, Dutchtown, WR, JR
A 6'0 176 LBS junior wide receiver for the Dutchtown Bulldogs, McKinney has 27 receptions for 424 yards and five touchdowns, in just four games this season. In the first game of the season, he set the school record for most receiving touchdowns in a game with four. Deuce holds a 3.0 GPA and is a member of the basketball team. In college he plans on majoring in Engineering.
