Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of October 28

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters.
Here are our nominees for the week of October 28, 2024.
Alex Garnett, Norcross, WR, SR
Garnett is a 5’8 155 LBS senior wide receiver for the Norcross Blue Devils. He started his high school career at Mason High School in Ohio before transferring to Norcross. During his four-year varsity career, Garnett has accumulated 479 yards and 24 total touchdown points, earning him All-County and All-Region awards during his junior year. He has a 3.2 GPA, takes honors classes and is on the team’s Leadership Council. Since freshman year, Garnett has run varsity track and has a 4.49 40.

Ethan Spector, River Ridge, QB, SR
The 5’11 150 LBS senior quarterback for the River Ridge Knights has 2,094 total yards: 1,864 passing and 230 rushing with 27 passing touchdowns and four rushing TDs and only one interception. Spector is having an incredible season connecting on 137-of-204 passing attempts, which is a 67% completion percentage. The Knights are known for their passing offense which makes it even more impressive. Spector currently holds the River Ridge records for most career passing yards and most career passing TDs. As a junior, he was named First Team All-Region and First Team All Cherokee County. He’s also the first QB in River Ridge history to lead the team to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2022 & 2023. Spector has a 3.66 GPA and currently has one offer from Reinhardt.

Jayaun Albert, Jenkins, ATH, SR
Albert is a 155 LBS senior athlete that has 344 yards with an average of almost 9 yards per carry and seven TDs, so far on the season. His career stats are 1,421 rushing yards and 15 TDs. These impressive set of stats has earned him multiple Savannah Player of the Week awards and he is a member of the Savannah Quarterback Club.
In the future, Albert aspires to play football at the next level while pursuing a degree in business marketing.

Ethan Dowdy, Duluth, ATH, SR
The Duluth Wildcats senior athlete has 73 yards rushing with four TDs and 34 yards receiving with 1 TD, for a total of 107 All-Purpose yards according to Max Preps. The 6'3 215 LBS hard-working player has a 3.0 GPA, takes AP classes and has goals to play at the next level. One day he hopes to be in the football Hall of Fame and wishes to model and act after he retires from the sport.

Jadon Martin, Collins Hill, OLB/C, SR
Martin is a 6'3 225 LBS senior outside linebacker and center for the Collins Hill Eagles. On the season so far, he has 44 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks and 21 QB hurries. A member of the 2021 state championship team, Martin is no stranger to big stages and can perform under pressure. The multi-sport athlete wrestles and throws shot put and discus for the Eagles in the off-season. He holds a 3.4 GPA and has been awarded 'Academic Player of the Week’ and 'Gwinnett County Player of the Week,' for his exemplary performance on and off the field.

Levi Perlstein, Riverwood, SS, JR
Perlstein is a 5'10 175 LBS junior strong safety for the Riverwood Raiders that is leading his team in tackles with 69- 25 solo and 44 assisted. In the Raiders' recent game against Woodstock, Perlstein had a big time pick six. The scholar athlete has a 3.9 GPA and has hopes to pay Division 1 football one day.=

Quadra Barnes, Jonesboro, OL, JR
The 6’4 270 LBS junior offensive lineman for the Jonesboro Cardinals is described by coaches as a player with endless potential. Coach Jeff, his position coach, had nothing but positive things to say: "A kid with unrealized potential with a tremendous upside. Athletic, aggressive, intuitive, with a high football IQ. Quadra is a star in the making."
Despite Barnes recently joining the Cardinals team, he has stood out to coaches and dedicated himself to the game. Recruiting Coordinator, Coach Carmichael says that "Game by game he improves and shows a different tool in his toolbox. Future is bright and any OL coach should get on him NOW!"
