State lawmakers have been tasked with considering how Georgia should move forward on planning for natural disasters. 

Georgia Democrats are looking to recalibrate after Tuesday's election. Not only did their presidential pick lose, they didn't narrow GOP majorities in the state legislature as much as they hoped.

The effort to establish Georgia’s first national park at Macon’s Ocmulgee Mounds site is one of a number of issues members of Middle Georgia’s congressional delegation say they hope to finish by the end of the year.
