PBS is adding audio description to much of its content, making watching shows and films easier for the blind and visually impaired.

Audio description (AD) is a secondary audio track with verbal description of key visual elements of a video. It is an essential accessibility feature for people who are blind, low vision/vision impaired, or who have cognitive disabilities that benefit from additional context when watching video.  You can follow this link to find a list of all content that has audio description.  You can follow this link to find help on enabling audio description

Some of the content requires a Passport account.  Find out how to become a GPB passport member here.

Not a GPB Passport member? Select “Non-Passport” in the left sidebar. Once you’ve found what you’re looking for, tap the headphones icon (audio track) and select, “English AD” for your audio. For more information on how to access audio-described content on PBS, visit the PBS help page.
