Future Perfect Podcast: Blake Patton at Venture Atlanta 2015
Primary Content
If you're looking for a state-of-the-scene report on Atlanta's tech startup community, you won't find a better observer than Blake Patton.
Over the past 20 years, Patton has build all kinds of tech companies as an entrepreneur, helped launch all kinds of tech startups as an investor and guided them as a mentor. He's a former general manager and entrepreneur-in-residence at Georgia Tech's Advanced Technology Development Center, and his latest business effort hasn't strayed too far from his alma mater; he's the managing partner of Tech Square Ventures, an early stage and seed fund.
Patton gave one of the keynote addresses at the recent Venture Atlanta 2015 conference at the Georgia Aquarium. In this Future Perfect podcast interview, Patton covers some of the same ground as in his keynote, but also talks about the need for more access to capital - especially that which can be locally-grown - along with his concerns for how Atlanta will manage the explosive growth it's currently seeing in its entrepreneurial community, and what aspect of the metro region's startup story that still needs to be uncovered.
