Future Perfect Podcast: The North American Mobile Economy
Primary Content
The GSMA is the global trade group for the world's mobile network operators, so you would expect it to paint a mostly positive picture about what's going on in North America with smartphone growth, the strength of data networks and mobile's role in the Internet of Things.
Luckily for the GSMA, the latest numbers regarding economic impact, data usage per customer and smartphone penetration back up a lot of their claims. Maintaining that rapid growth, however, could be tricky, as smartphone sales edge closer to saturation levels.
In this Future Perfect podcast, GPB sci-tech correspondent Renay San Miguel interviews Reed Peterson, head of GSMA North America, about his organization's latest report on the mobile economy in the U.S. and Canada. Peterson presented the findings of the report in Atlanta recently during his organization's Mobile 360 conference.
