Georgia's Most Romantic Places: Win A Trip By Watching The Show

What is your idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day destination? A lake with a view of the sunset? A classic victorian maison? To see these and other romantic spots in the the state of Georgia, tune into GPB on Thursday, February 11 at 8 p.m. for our special “Georgia’s Most Romantic Places”.
The show follows eight couples as they explore breathtaking locales with unique histories that evoke love.
Eight destinations are featured on the show. We’re giving you a chance to win a trip to one of six of them through our “Georgia’s Most Romantic Places” Getaway contest. Here’s how you enter . Watch the show, then go to the contest page and answer a question about the show. Winners will be chosen from a drawing of entrees that answered at least one question right about the show. Good luck! Sapelo Island Birdhouses - Sapelo Island
With sixteen thousand acres of land with rivers, creeks and ponds, Sapelo Island Bird Cottages provides urban amenities in a natural setting. The Birdhouse Cottage is located in the Gullah Geechee community of Hog Hammock.

Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast - Covington
Considered to be one of the most outstanding examples of Antebellum architecture in the South, Twelve Oaks was built in 1836. It has been renovated in a way that preserves its historic character.
The Treehouse Atlanta (Buckhead Treehouse) - Atlanta
Yes these are real treehouses! Three separate areas are connected by rope bridges. The living room contains antique furnishings, including a twelve-candle chandelier and a balcony overlooking an acre of forest.
The Gastonian - Savannah
Located in Georgia’s oldest city, this beautiful bed and breakfast is packed with antiques, fireplaces and romance. It’s right in the heart of the historical district and is comprised of two Regency-Italianate style maisons connected by a bridge.
Smithgall Woods State Park (Smithgall Cottages) - Helen
This state park is a real mountain retreat with six cottages available on the property. Guests can enjoy hiking, hot tubs and a catering service that delivers meals.
The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee- Greensboro
This is one of the finest lake resorts in the country with 251 guest rooms, plus a 5,400 square foot lake house that has served as a temporary home for several world leaders. Guests can enjoy 24-hour in room dining or a lakefront dinner.
The Paxton (Paxton House) - Thomasville
Built in 1884 by Colonel J.W. Paxton, the maison features classic Victorian architecture with 13- foot ceilings, nine-foot doors and the original curved stairwell. Guests can also rent one the three cottages for extra privacy.
