Have A Roaring Time At Fernbank’s Dinosaur Birthday Bash

It’s their party and they’ll roar if they want to on August 20! Join the Fernbank Museum of Natural History this Saturday as it hosts Dinosaur Birthday Bash, a celebration in honor of the 15th anniversary of its permanent exhibit, Giants of the Mesozoic. You and your children can stand at the feet of the world’s largest dinosaurs while enjoying birthday themed activities, a live DJ, crafts, and games. Kids can meet Giggy A. Dinosaur and take pictures with Buddy the T-Rex from PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train. Check out the full list of fun activities below:
Georgia Bubbleman
Venture to the Terrace for giant bubbles and tons of birthday fun.
Field Journal Station
Pick up a field journal, earn stamps by completing dinosaur activities, and return it when complete to receive a dino-mite prize.
Giggy A. Dinosaur
Don’t miss your chance to wish the museum's roaming mascot, Giggy, a happy birthday!
Dinosaur Digs
Dinosaur hunters will flock to this special indoor mock dig designed just for children.
Birthday Treats**
Enjoy delicious birthday treats while supplies last.
Shout Out Entertainment featuring DJ-M
Dance, sing, and play along in celebration of Fernbank’s favorite dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Games
Play dinosaur-themed party games such as “Pin the Tail on the Dino” and “Dino Operation.”

Dress up with a special dinosaur birthday mask.
Buddy the T-Rex from PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train
Meet the prehistoric star of the popular kids’ program. This event lasts from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and is sponsored by PBA 30.
Photo Stops
Enjoy a variety of special dinosaur photo opportunities, including a life-size replica of a Giganotosaurus skull.
Dinosaur Tattoos
Wear your dinosaur pride with a fun temporary dinosaur tattoo.
Happy Birthday Sing-A-Long at Noon
Sing “Happy Birthday” to the dinosaurs of Giants of the Mesozoic.
