Kind of a wild first round of the GHSA Playoffs highlighted by that spectacular 92-61 win by the Lowndes Vikings over the Hillgrove Hawks. That is 153 total points and that is a new track record for total scoring in a high school football game in the state of Georgia. That also brings us to this week’s Football Fridays in Georgia, because those high flying Lowndes Vikings will be front and center this week, taking on the undefeated, 11-0, and 4th ranked Blue Devils of Norcross. This should be a great game on GPB, as the Vikings are the highest scoring team in Class 7A at 46.9 points per game, and the Norcross defense is giving up a stingy 10.7 points per game. I am not a great mathematician but it looks to me like this one adds up to one great playoff game.
