We’ve told you about the massive job and career fair at Georgia Piedmont Technical College before.

The list of companies is impressive, and there are at least 700 open opportunities up for grabs for those in attendance.

However, perhaps the most important—and longest lasting impact—of this event won’t be the job fair itself, but rather the FREE classes offered while the event is going on.

GPTC will present secondary education courses for those interested, and they’re designed to help people land future job opportunities.

The following courses will be taught in 30-minute intervals beginning at 10:30 a.m. and running to 3:30 p.m.

  • Ace the interview
  • Resume rescue: Resumes that get attention
  • Dress for success and personal branding: Developing a personal image
  • 10 soft skills you need
  • Goal setting and getting things done
  • How to bounce back from a bad background check

The event will take place Friday, October 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, 8100 Bobby Williams Parkway, Covington, GA 30014. For more information check out the website for the job fair.
