GPB Game of the Week

Defending Class 4A champion Blessed Trinity survived a two-point conversion attempt in overtime and survived with a 21-20 victory at Flowery Branh on Friday. 

The No. 1-ranked Titans (7-0, 3-0 in Region 7-4A) scored in overtime on a 10-yard pass from Jake Smith to Brian Davis. No. 8 Flowery Branch (6-1,2-1) scored on a 1-yard run by Zarian Brawner, but opted to try to win the game rather than kick the extra point and force a second overtime. Quarterback Elijah Gainey's pass sailed incomplete and Blessed Trinity won. 

Blessed Trinity got two touchdowns from Smith, one on a 1-yard run, the other on a 95-yard interception return. Steele Chambers rushed 24 times for 108 yards. 

Flowery Branch scored on a pair of touchdown passes from Gainey to Jalin Strown.
