Inside information: Early County won the Region 1 championship. The Bobcats won their only state championship in 2003. Timpson and Jones were named All-Region 1 first-team and Welsey and Williams were named to the second-team. Five others were named honorable mention. Timpson averages 19.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 5.8 blocks.

Inside information: Douglass won the Region 6 championship. The Astros have never won a girls basketball championship. Thompson was named Region 6 Player of the Year and King was named to the first-team.
