The Buford Wolves and Archer Tigers, two of the top football programs in Gwinnett County -- and the state -- will be showcased this week on GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia.

The kickoff on Friday at Buford’s Tom Riden Stadium is 7:30 p.m.

Buford, No. 2 in Class 5A, improved to 4-0 on Friday with a 42-14 win over Newton.

Archer, No. 6 in Class 7A,  upped its record to 3-1 by beating Norcross 31-0 on Friday. Archer’s loss came in a weather-shortened game against Mill Creek that the Tigers chose not to complete.

Archer and Buford met for the first time a year ago and Archer came away with a 48-24 victory.
