Lona Hall is a science teacher at East Hall Middle school in Gainesville, Georgia. She enjoys traveling to new places, gaining fresh perspectives on culture, and the natural world. An AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumna, Lona believes that teachers have a responsibility to educate their students about the larger, global community beyond their hometowns. She believes that through exploration, reflection, and service learning, young people can become simultaneous stronger and more empathetic. Lona and her husband live in the beautiful foothills of north Georgia.
