The Class 7A playoffs open this week on Football Fridays in Georgia with a classic match between Marietta (8-2) vs. Camden County (8-2) at historic Northcutt Stadium in Marietta. 

Marietta finished as the No. 2 seeded in Region 3 behind top-ranked McEachern. The Blue Devils are loaded with Division I talent, including quarterback Harrison Bailey (Tennessee) and all-America receiver Arik Gilbert (LSU). 

Camden County was the No. 3 team that emerged in the uber-competitive Region 1. The Wildcats are in their third season under coach Bob Sphire  and have lost only to heavyweights Lowndes and Colquitt County. 

The teams have met only one time. Camden County beat Marietta 48-7 in the second round of the playoffs in 2011.
