For more than four decades, Rich's "Fashionata" fashion shows were THE social events of the season in Atlanta. The mastermind behind the event was Rich's Fashion Director, Sol Kent, a man who left an indelible legacy both professionally and personally. GPB’s new digital first series explores the history of Rich’s department store through a monthly video feature story and short videos featuring fun facts about Rich’s history in Georgia. M. Rich and Sons opened their first store in 1867. Before the Rich’s name was erased from the last department store in 2005, 25 stores had been opened across the Southeast with most located in Georgia.
