Georgia Musicians Raise Spirits During Coronavirus

Local bars and restaurants are closed, music halls are shut down as Georgians are instructed to stay home during the coronavirus outbreak. Artists, with no live audiences, are taking to social media and online streaming platforms to bring fans in-home entertainment.
Atlanta musician Zac Brown took to Instagram to say he’s going to do his best to share music and songs. A guitarist and multi-instrumentalist for the Zac Brown Band, Coy Bowles, released a single last week for children called “All In This Together.”
GPB Radio is compiling a recurring, weekly list of other local artists from all over the state that are performing concerts into your computer screens.

Broadcasting the spirit of Savannah Music Festival:
The first concert of the 2020 Savannah Music Festival was scheduled for Thursday, March 26, where SMF artists and audiences would have begun a 17-day gathering in historic venues and theatres. Now they’re launching an online alternative called the “SMF at Noon30” that will entertain fans with the spirit of the festival every day at 12:30 p.m. through April 11.
