As most Presidential candidates focus on New Hampshire, former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg's campaign opened offices across Georgia Wednesday.The Bloomberg campaign stopped in Savannah Wednesday.

 

The Bloomberg campaign is on a bus tour touting gun violence prevention, one of the candidate's major campaign platforms. Bloomberg himself was not there.

 

But the mothers of gun violence victims were and spoke to a small group in Savannah.

 

Julvonnia McDowell of Savannah met Bloomberg after her teenage son was killed by another kid playing with a gun.

 

"He gave me that listening ear," she said. "He listened more with his ears, but more with his heart to understand the passion behind what he does to make sure the wellbeing and the safety of our children."

 

The Bloomberg campaign is also hosting events in Macon and Atlanta ahead of the March primary.
