CNN's Robyn Curnow Says Dyslexia Can Be An Asset

The Mayo Clinic classifies dyslexia as a learning disorder that causes difficulty in reading and processing language.

Politicians and policy-makers are responding to estimates that one in five people may be born dyslexic. Under a 2018 state law, Georgia kindergartners will be screened.

But not everyone who lives with dyslexia thinks it's all negative. 

GPB's Rickey Bevington speaks with CNN's Robyn Curnow about her experience with dyslexia.

"I don't think of it as a disability," said CNN anchor and correspondent Robyn Curnow. "In many ways, I think of it as an asset because it's good to look at something from a different perspective."  

Curnow recently joined GPB's Rickey Bevington in the radio studio to share her experience building a life and journalism career while living with dyslexia.
