The Atlanta Falcons picked up their first win of the season Sunday, beating the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 24 to 20.

Julio Jones was the hero of the evening, catching two touchdown passes, including the game winning score in the final minutes of the contest.

On fourth down, Matt Ryan connected with Jones on a quick screen, leaving the star receiver to sprint down the sideline for a 54-yard score.

Speed guns clocked Jones running at a blistering 20 mph on his way to the endzone.

“I have a credit around here; I can’t let nobody run me down,” Jones joked after the game. “I couldn’t do that; I’d look bad to the team. I had to do what I do best and run away from people.”

Jones became the highest paid receiver in the NFL this month, signing a three-year, $66 million deal.

Sunday night, he also surpassed Roddy White for the most receiving yards in franchise history. Now in his ninth season, Jones has racked up 10,868 with the team.

Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant also had a stellar performance, intercepting Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz twice.

Next up, the Falcons will travel to Indianapolis for a Sunday afternoon game against the Colts.
