On this edition of Political Rewind, a conversation with Grady Hospital President and CEO John Haupert on the many crises that public health institutions across the country continue to face.

Overburdened with patients who could not pay their bills, struggling for government funding and viewed widely, even if incorrectly, as offering sub-standard care unless you needed an emergency room to treat a gunshot wound.

How have Haupert and his team managed to find a formula for treating indigent patients that could become the model for the Medicaid waivers Gov. Kemp says he wants to use to expand care.
