On this edition of Political Rewind, we look at a subject many people would simply like to ignore: antisemitism.

The Jewish people have been the targets of bigotry and violence for centuries. But in recent years, it’s escalated here in the United States and across much of Europe. Why is hatred of Jews on the rise? And how are the politics of today complicating our understanding of what antisemitism is?

We’ll look at those questions and much more with Deborah Lipstadt, one of the world’s leading authorities on the Holocaust and bigotry against the Jewish people. Those are subjects she tackles in her new book, “Antisemitism Here and Now.”
