On this edition of Political Rewind, Stacey Abrams is in the national spotlight after the announcement that she’ll give the Democratic response to President Donald Trump’s State of The Union address. What impact will this high-reward, high-risk assignment have on her political future?

After a number of well-funded but failed efforts to legalize casinos and other forms of gambling in Georgia, a new and different approach is underway at the capitol. But in an interview with GPB’s Lawmakers, Gov. Kemp says he’ll oppose the efforts.

Plus, Kemp tells GPB he won’t support proposals to change the way that state election officials purge voter rolls, an issue that fueled Democratic charges of voter suppression during Kemp’s campaign for governor.
