Anderson is the author of notable works including Eyes Off the Prize: The United Nations and the African-American Struggle for Human Rights and White Rage: The Unspoken Truth of Our Nation's Divide,  a New York Times Bestseller. 

In her latest book, One Person, No Vote,  Anderson lays out the history of voter suppression and the chronicles the changes in African American voter participation since a 2013 Supreme Court case rolled back two key provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
