Each year, Garden and Gun magazine celebrates the best food, crafts and creations with the Made in the South awards. "On Second Thought" heard from two Georgia makers the magazine highlighted, Megan Fowler of Brown Parcel Press and Skylar Morgan of Skylar Morgan Furniture + Design. Jaleesa Ledbetter is an Atlanta-based DJ and member of Werc Crew, a collective of artists, producers and DJs in the city. Under the name DJ Hourglass, she's opened for artists like Princess Nokia and played Atlanta festivals Afropunk and A3C. She shared her favorite holiday songs to play at parties and the first time she met Janelle Monáe with "On Second Thought."

There's been plenty to talk about in 2018, so we gathered a smart group of people to help us kick back, unwind and think about what happened this year. Georgia State University professor Hector Fernandez, writer-editor Anjali Enjeti, "Greg's List Live" host Greg Williams and Savannah-based community organizer Amanda Hollowell joined "On Second Thought" to review this big year in news and culture.
